Trouble is a friend of mine

I have a baby gate to keep Ambree out of the kitchen from the living room entry.  I also have a barricade that I set up at the bottom of the stairs in the basement set up to keep her from climbing the stairs and escaping into the kitchen.  Our basement stairway is accessed through the kitchen.

Two weeks ago, Ambree learned how to get through my barricade and to get into things in the kitchen.  I was busy on the computer when I heard her saying,"Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm" over and over.  I thought it was odd and for a second I thought she might have discovered some food on the floor that she had thrown down earlier (gross).

But this is what I found when I went into the kitchen.

Reaching for more Hershey's kisses that were leftover from the cookies that I made here.
Lil' stinker.  If you look closely, she has a whole one in her mouth.
She pushed the chair over and got her sneaky reward.
Not too long after this episode, she discovered to use toys as a stepping stool to climb on the couch to get to the tree.
Toy carriage on the floor as stepping stool.
We had to hide this toy from her because she repeatedly used it to climb with.
Evidence of her trying.
And here's another make-shift stepping stool, Brynlee's snow boots.
Although she isn't successful in the video, she had already climbed it like this and I tried to capture it a second time.  I love that I just happened to be listening to "Trouble is a Friend of Mine" by Lenka on itunes.  It fits perfectly.
I keep telling Trevor that I'm glad she's not twins.
She keeps me SO busy.  Busier than the other girls did.

And let's not forget the comet dumped on the carpet espisode last week.
The pile was about 1 inch thick.

Rae was trying to help clean the bathrooms and left the cleaner out in the hallway!
YIKES!  Of course Ambree played with it, but thankfully didn't eat any of it.  Phew!
