Then I was on Hershey's website while trying to get a coupon and saw a promo they were doing about a giveaway to host a Hershey's cookie exchange. So I signed up. A few weeks later, I get a package in the mail with everything I would need to host a cookie exchange, including a thank you apron! It felt so awesome to get that package.
About 15 people came (with kids making that even more!), so we had a full house! It was great though. I was stressing out about getting the house clean in time and the cookies baked beforehand. Originally, it wasn't going to be a stressful event.
I had my week planned on doing something each day to make it easy on myself so that by Thursday, everything would be ready and stress free. That all got changed when I didn't have a moment to spare with Ambree getting a double ear infection starting with a fever on Monday night and needing constantly attention (and not very much sleep at night for the both of us) until Thursday when her medicine started working.
The party turned out wonderful though! The kids got along great, and we chatted while we filled our boxes. YUM!
I crashed at 7PM because I was worn out from the rough week with Ambree and the party. But I would still do it again. it was worth it.
Thanks everyone for coming and bringing your delicious cookies to share!
