A house fire is sad anytime, but especially at this time of year.

Neighbor's House
This is our neighbor's house, across the street. We came home and the street was closed off. We parked and walked a block to get home. We're not certain of the details yet, but the fire started in the garage. The owner's noticed it and got out of the house safely. They are fine, but the garage is completely gone and the house is pretty bad. I don't know if they'll be able to live in it again.

Oh Jen, how awful....I hope they had a place lined up to stay. I hope they can savage the damages to still be able to return and live there...soon
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately home insurance companies never fully reimburse the damages, b/c of differential rates of materials and labor vs what insurance policy base their original rates written in their contracts...it's something to think about when purchasing insurance polices..
